FICUS PLANT

FICUS PLANT

The Ficus has thick, leathery, oval-shaped large leaves with interesting colors or pattern that are the main attraction. Some have burgundy red almost black or orange leaf sheaths too.

Ficus have thick waxy leaves that start off as a soft coral and mature to a dark green. The leaves have lengthy stalks that attach them to the stalk and are oval in shape.

Rubber plant

Rubber plants only grow new leaves from the top of the stem (not from the sides). A sheath surrounds the young leaves as they grow. The sheath begins as a little dark burgundy spike. The sheath lengthens and turns a stunning shade of pink as the leaf grows inside. The sheath slips off completely as the leaf emerges from it.
