Although it has watermelon shape like leaves , the plant is not closely related to either watermelons or begonias but in fact coming from the family of perennial having the same asymmetrical oval green leaves that are strikingly marked with curved silver stripes, and red stems. It is no wonder many mistaken it for watermelons from a far.
