PIPER CROCATUM "RED BETEL LEAF"
Piper Crocatum "Red Betel Leaf". Also known as Celebes Pepper, this plant is very close to a common green type but more civilized for its fancy characteristics. It has shiny heart-shaped leaves with a pointed tip, The upper surface is olive green heavily speckled with pinkish-orange and evident along the main veins on the foliage.
This is a slow-growing plant that needs sufficient care. With proper care it thrives and flourishes well as a house plant.
It does, however, prefer a brightly shaded location with only a few hours of morning sun. If you're not fond of hanging potted plants, this plant grows nicely as a ground trailing plant.
